Wednesday white Mt Photos - Cannon - Spring (?) ski day, and final snowshoe

I haven't been to Cannon in about 5 years I live 15 minutes away. Today a Friend and Title settlement agent, and I hit the slopes of Cannon Mountain in the Franconia Notch State park of New Hampshire. MARCH 30 2011.

The thing about Cannon is when you're below the Notch it can be a blue sky day, while above the Notch it can be snowing. Twenty degrees colder and blowing like stink. On Friday Cannon got 11 inches it was partly cloudy 9 miles south. The bottom 3,000 feet (Cannon's peak is at 4,080 ft) of elevation had miles of visibility, while the top was in the clouds a little snow in the air and had dark sky's.

The top of the Mountain is like another world. The top of Cannon was 20 degrees and Arctic in appearance.

I had a 1 o'clock appointment with my accountant  so it was time to go (3 hours of hard skiing done).

All these Photos where taken March 30 th 2011

When I got home 15 minutes away, I decided to get a last snow shoe in. There is still a good foot of the white stuff in my yard...but the mud is coming in April (NO FOOLING).

We had incredible Blue sky's in Woodstock NH, while Cannon is in the Clouds 12 miles north.

We still have 20 foot tall slabs on ice along the river, but the water is flowing where I walked two weeks ago.

Ok I hung up the snow shoes Golf season can come to the White Mountains of New Hampshire any time now.

Wish to see any property listed in the White Mountains and Lakes Region of New Hampshire use the MLS link at the bottom of this post. Looking for a Realtor in New Hampshire give me a call.
