2010 Parade of homes...Features our Emerald award - Green building design.

10 Featured houses, anyone would be happy to call home. The Fall Foliage isn’t the only thing worth seeing in New Hampshire.

The Professional home builders and remodelers association of New Hampshire have chosen ten homes to put on the parade of homes tour. You’ll be seeing some spectacular example of building techniques, new materials, energy saving applications and technologies employed in these beautiful homes. The prices range from under $300,000 to over 2 million, with the majority of the homes coming in under 5,000 square feet in size.

One house won the Emerald Award winning home for the highest Level of Green construction and was nationally recognized for this achievement. And it doesn’t resemble a cave either…take a look at this beautiful home my parent company built “Cargill Construction” built. They are the White Mountain leader in Green building techniques, and have been in business for 35 years. Photos by: John Hession ( thanks John).

Tickets are $5/ person with all proceeds going to Granite State Independent Living, along with the Home builders association many other companies have comtributed to the success of this Charity funda raiser for more information about the event and the home builders association web-site www.nhparadeofhomes.com

I don't know about you but I could live here!

Beautiful lake front home with the greenest heating system yet devised.

All 10 of these homes bring something very special to the table...but this one was designed and built by our very own parent company, The have built all around the state, and most recently have constructed 12 homes on the South mountain slopes of Loon Mountain ski area. The newest homes feature decidedly Adirondack styles with covenant requiring strick design build standards...have a look at our site.

More About the Green builers home pictured above:
The Emerald award is the highest achievement presented by the National Home
Builders Association, National Green Building Standard. This Emerald home has an array of energy-saving products and technologies. The HVAC is a state of the art hybrid geothermal and a propane furnace
system. It consists of five zones, a heat recovery ventilation (HRV), and steam humidification. The system uses "Energy Management" to self diagnose through one thermostat which communicates with the other zones to create the perfect balance for heating, ventilation and air conditioning. In addition the system offers the homeowner the ability to remote access all controls through the internet. In order to achieve this high level of reward many sustainable and recyclable materials found throughout the home. Examples are found in FSC framing lumber, local hardwood flooring, 100% recycled underlayment's, Energy Star appliances, concrete that contains 30% fly ash, and reclaimed cabinets to name but a few. The envelope is ultra tight with BIBS insulation in the outside walls (R-23) and vaulted ceilings have an additional 2" of rigid insulation (R-49). The efficiency is reflected in the HERS of 46, despite the 4,000 SF. Cargill Construction.., with offices in Campton and Lincoln New Hampshire known for resort development , design build services and general real estate brokerage services through their Alpine Lakes Real estate company is an area leader in real estate marketing and Adirondack home design and building techniques.
