After 30 years of planning the goals are within reach.
When the Franconia paper mill closed its doors back in the 1970’s
The town of Lincoln resembled a ghost town of the old west.

The Abandoned Mill buildings, and new restaurant built from the old timbers.
But the town had a few things going for it; Sherman Adams
A former Governor and Eisenhower’s right hand man had started a ski resort and it was taking hold. Loon Mountain was big Mountain Skiing for a family from the Boston Suburbs and you could get here by car quickly.
Machine Room #1..and the temporary North Country Center for the arts (New Building coming).
Then a partnership was formed to purchase the Old Paper Mill, and plans were drawn to create an indoor shopping center, Hotel, the North Country Center for the Arts, Shops, and food services.
Inside the old paper mill & the Current shopping Mall, with new Ski Slopes visible out back.
The Ski Resort began a White Mountain National Forest permitting process to expand the ski terrain into the village of Lincoln. This seemingly simple request took 20 years to complete, but the last few years have shown remarkable progress.
Brief synopsis..South Mountain was built and the main Quad-lift to the Summit began brings skiers to the top of the South Peak Summit..Christmas Week of 2007.

The latest project to gain permitting will extend the Mill Front renovation project to include a 25 acre town park called "River Walk". The project literally grows out of the ashes like a Phoenix..With approvals from the U.S.- EPA and the New Hampshire Division of Environmental Services, this Brownfield Site, will House the New North Country Center for the Arts Play house, a 170 unit Mixed use resort, and the towns 20 acre riverfront recreational park (with Snowmobile trail, cross country skiing, and a bike path).
Lincoln Center North, Movie Theater, Grocery store
U.S.Post office, Citizens Bank ,and more designed
and built by my Parent Company, again with ski access.
It is rumored that once all of the building is completed the resident and second home owners in the town of Lincoln will be able to enjoy lower property tax bills (already in the lowest 10% of the state), and more importantly a lively Arts center, a pristine riverfront park, and additional retail for locals and visitors alike.
Great time to buy in this ski resort town, new and wonderful things approved and coming, while real estate is still very affordable.
