I'm hoping that I have mowed my back field for the last time this year, it's a lot of work but I love the river view. I'm allowed to maintain my field down to the river as it's been this way since prior to the new shore land protection regulations...if this goes back to being wild (with trees or bushes taller than 3 feet) I will lose the right to cut the field in the future. I saw a couple of wood duck about to start there flight south for the winter...the lawn mowwer did both them.
The water is so clear you can easily see the sandy bottom.
The close up are nice, but I enjoy the long distance river and Mountain views too.
It's getting dark too early in the White mountains of New Hampshire..and our next season(foliage) will be in full swing shortly. The peak leaf peeper time of year starts next week and continues through the Columbus Day Holiday in October. I promise new foliage photos from my favorite look-out points in the next few weeks.
Stay tuned for more White Mountain New Hampshire pictures, and thanks for stopping by my blog.
