A Little photo journey in the yard today, wild flowers, dead trees, water and other treasures left behind after a Cold winter in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.

Assorted Wild Flowers growing in the back field.

The dead birch and oak trees are plentiful this year...but the mushrooms don't mind.
The Brook runs into the new pond (almost finished building ),then overflows into the Pemigewasset river

I don't know what kind or how old this car is, but it's in the woods beside my house.
The leaf canopy has started to open up finally, I'll have to thank my wife for kicking me outside today... I know you're not my mother but happy mothers day honey.

One last shot of some phlox among the rocks..
We just went out to Lake Michigan and the Spring flowers make it look completely different than it will all year long. Thanks for sharing your area I'll get to our photos soon.
Hey, looks like Spring! Looks like you took a nice little nature walk today...nice day for it. I would love to know the history of that car in the woods.
Terry... I have visited lake Michigan in the spring the cold wind coming off the lake this time of year can be a big temperature change.
Sharon...I was picturing Bonny & Clyde in the car, spring didn't last long there was snow on the peak when I got up today May 11th...and new snow on the 4,000+ Foot peaks.
Follow up this morning: Snow on the peaks & a local visitor:
Bad focus from 500 feet away...but Mr. Fox makes a daily appearance along the river.
You live in a gorgeous place. I love the country but I love convenience more. My husbands trying to find a farm in the mall parking lot!
Laura... Sounds like shopping wins over nature at your house, we love living in the country but there is a lot of yard to care for and driveway to plow ...Etc...but the view is always worth it.
Nice pics, Steve. I actually did some yard work yesterday and while it seems to be tedious at initial glance, I actually quite enjoyed the task. I do miss the heavily wooded areas that your pics project. The city will never take the country out of me.
Wow... what a paradise you live by... that and the rail cars that ramble by. How on Earth can you stay inside?
Steve...I love spring. It is life awakening again for our viewing pleasure.
Jason...be careful of what you wish for, I always wanted a home in the country now that I have one it comes with a lot of out-door chores.
Sally... We get out as much as we can...we own a one acre island in the river that I have never set foot on But I pay the $70/year tax bill and smile.
Well it looks like you have the same adventure in your backyard that we have... nature is a great thing.
Kim... I look forward to coming home everyday..good or bad day behind me doesn't matter.
Living in Fair Oaks on my 1/3 acre that I have been on every square inch of, I can't imagine that you have not been on the island. But that's the beauty of living in the country. There's TOO MUCH to know it all, so there is always an adventure. For you it's your own property!
Steve, love your photos as always. Btw, the car is a Ford Model A Sedan... not sure of the year...
Silvia...Thanks never would have had a guess about this rusty wreck...
I would to find out the history of that car!
Great shots, Steve. The brook shot almost looks tropical. The mushrooms are fascinating.
You have a big back yard!
Kathryn... We are lucky enough to have about 15 acres along the river, near Loon mountain in New Hampshire.
