Anniversaries / Ice Cream / & Summer Attractions
One of my favorite times of the year in the
White Mountains of New Hampshire
Meteorologists confirm the 91 warmest days of the year occur From June 9th until September 8th.
We celebrate the summer solstice at my house, it is the longest day of the year and my wedding anniversary (which helps me remember the date).
Happy anniversary sweetheart.
The Whales Tale Water Park Opens this week, a sure sign of Summer.
Every year for the past 10 seasons we have purchased a seasons pass to this Local Water park, for $79 you get unlimited access to the park for the summer.
Father & Son in the wave pool.
Ice Cream is a big summer reminders, the little stands are open for business.
More ice cream is sold on Sunday than any other day of the week, and the highest consumption in North America is during the months of July and August. 98% of all house hold purchase ice cream and each American consumes an average of 23.2 quarts per year.

Clark's Trading Post is another summer favorite we visit every year and enjoy having a family attraction so close to home.
This year Clark's will be adding a new Segway riding park which will take you through Wolf-man's territory. These off road style Segways will add a great attraction to the family friendly park featuring the famous bear show.

If you are in New England any time in the next few month make sure you visit Lincoln New Hampshire, it's at the entrance to Franconia State park and accessible from Interstate 93 from any where in the North East.

The Flume Gorge is Part of the State park...a mile from the Whales Tale and three miles from Clark's bear show make a day of it...and don't forget the ice cream..Have a great summer everyone.

Steve, I'm pretty impressed.
Your skills at photoshop are pretty good. You managed to photoshop in that hot-chick, and it looks just like she's in the photo, putting her arm around your shoulder. You can hardly see the clipping paths, and barely notice that her arm (and hand) aren't at quite the right angle.
Of course we both know that a woman that good looking would never be in quite as close a proximity to you... but hey, we should all have dreams.
nice work...and congrats!
Alan...I'll share your humor with the wife, she thinks I'm funny so You'll rank up there with hysterical to her. We do live in a beautiful part of the country, and I'm blessed to be married to a beautiful women...how could life be any better?
To dispel Alan's photo shop rumor...here's another pic..that would be hard to alter..
Scanned it right in the frame...photo shop This!!
Hey Steve...Happy Anniversary! Also, all those summer attractions near you sound like fun, but my favorite is the ice cream...I definitely could eat it everyday :-)
Have a great day,
Anne
Happy Anniversary to you both! I'm a Clark's fan and think the new attraction sounds awesome. It is a fabulous part of the country you live in!
Anne.. that is why I included ice cream as a favorite event... You can do it anywhere and don't need to travel far from home to get that summer time nostalgia.
Steve - Nice mood altering post. The fine salad days with ice cream. Cheers
Claude... we are so ready for summer here in the mountains it just can't come soon enough.
Happy Anniversary looks like she still like you you must be doing something right.
Terry...I do my best, and she lets me.
Happy Anniversary, Steve- what a happy post!
Thanks Wendy... Have a great summer yourself.
