There are two small brooks that empty in to the river near my house. When the rain pounds down like it has been these brooks offer some beautiful waterfalls to photograph, hope you enjoy the pictures.

This is as much sun light as this stretch along the brook ever gets and I love the Moss here.

The stacked stones on the upper right was the site of an old covered bridge, this is where rte 3 crossed a hundred years ago and the only way to Franconia Notch beside the trains at the turn of the century.
The last falls before the brook runs under the new Rte 3, and enters my land, where it goes in to the Pemigewasset river...and becomes kayak-able. Pretty cool spot to have in your back yard...but still too cold to swim just yet.

Steve...I am a sucker for running water and a good photo op!
Bill...bring your fishing pole, some nice brookies in here.
I not only love the photos, I love the little history lesson that goes with them. I bet you enjoyed your nature photo shoot walk. I enjoyed the photos!
Sharon...nice walks in any directions in the White Mountains, glad you enjoyed the photos and the history.
I bet it sounds as wonderful as it looks. Just beautiful. Just curious, but how warm does it get before you get in. I used to dip in springs and creeks at my Aunt and Uncles place in NC and it was always SO cold, even in July and August.
Tammy...I have to be facing heat stroke to get in the river...or it's got to be 90+, I think there is still ice in these streams right now.
I posted a bunch of additional photos of the waterfalls, on my facebook account.
Beautiful photos a few more and we can move you up from Novice. Keep them coming.
Steve - those are BEAUTIFUL! I am so much more a mountain girl than a beach girl. In Wake Forest I am half way between - I would SOOO much rather go to the mountains. I hate heat and I don't like the sun! Give me cool weather, rain or drizzle and the mountains! I am going to have to come visit you one day - you always make it look so incredibly inviting!
Terry, I have about twice as many filed on my facebook page. www.facebook.com/loonmtrealtor
Leesa...It's Working!!, Come to the mountains for a day, a week or a lifetime...it happened to me.
I love water, rocks and trees. They are so soothing. Thank you for sharing.
Wendy...my pleasure, if you are ever in the North country drop me a note. Thanks Steve
