Steve, I love picking apples, hayrides and cutting christmas trees. I haven't done it in years, now I settle for the Hot buttered rum and kick back in front of the fireplace. Great pictures, the covered bridge is great, I've been to Madison county to see those on a drive cross country.
Thanks ..Debbie, These are great family activities for all ages and a good excuse to get out side for some fresh air. I'm with you on the wood fires We built a fire-pit at our home before the house was done.
Love the picture of the covered bridge. Breathtaking. Keep posting the great pictures. I look forward to seeing them.
Like I just told Richard...Our color turns and a few days later it turns again...only to brown and falls.
Hi Steve, Our leaves are just starting to turn also. We used to have fun taking the kids to the pumpkin patch every October to pick out the right one for Halloween.
I can just smell that fresh mountain air of yours.
Wow Steve that is one fantastic photograph, I hope it is nicely framed somewhere. I bought some apples today, heaven knows where they are from... I hope to get up the Georgia foothills and get some next month.
Sounds like a wonderful place to be in the fall, I bet the colors are spectacular!
Steve WOW red is awesome, we just have chance enjoy that here in Dallas in fall. Have a great week
Well, with those red apples, red foliage, and white mountains, I suspect it looks very patriotic under a blue sky!
Thanks All, The easy part of great photos are a great subject...the covered bridge is one mile from my home and I go by it twice a day. We are going to have peak foliage for about the next 3 weeks, make it up to the north country and enjoy.
Steve... Great blog. Fall is my second favorite season.... next to winter (might be hard for some to believe... but this is why I live in New England). I love the foliage shot... I'll try to make a trip up north to see some of this, this weekend if possible.
Val...Let me know if you'll be in the White Mountains, Steve
Great photos Steve! I was born in Maine, and I have to say that the thing I miss most about it all, is the Maple Syrup!!! This just brought back such fond memories for me! I miss maple syrup on my ice cream, pancakes, pretty much on anything that I put regular syrup on now! hahaha! Next time I am up there, I am going to have to stock up and bring some home! I always forget!
Kayla...There is a breakfast place down the road that makes Maple syrup on site while your eating, It's pretty Cool, hope you get to Maine sometime soon don't stay away from New England too long.
