The Morning was filled with Bonuses for me. I attended a “core” course for license renewal with my beautiful wife, and it was at the spectacular Church landing property.
Thanks to Charline Mason our certified instructor, we beat the agency issues to death once again. Seller agency, buyer agency, sub-agency, disclosed dual agency, designated agency, and Facilitator discussions took up the entire first half of the 3 hour class. While Lead paint – Discrimination, and changes in the State real estate commission’s “letter of the law” were bantered around as they are every year…for another hour and a half.
My hats off to Charline, when I taught this class 25 years ago, the audience questions
usually over took the appointed material. We got through the meat and potatoes. I will be required to take 3 more three hour electives before the year is through but I enjoy these get togethers. Many of the topics are redundant, but I could tell by some of the looks there are a lot of people that need the update every other year.
As I said this was a bonus to me: The Lakes region board has a bunch of great agents and I was able to re-connect with many that I haven’t seen in far too long. The Church landing building was another bonus for me, the Adirondack style design is featured prominently in many of the custom homes well build. This hotel conference center has incorporated much of the Lake house, campy features in to their decorating. As a parting comment if you ever get the chance to have dinner at Church Landing take advantage of the location and get a table with a view of lake Winnipesaukee.
Congratulations to my wife for becoming a Realtor, she has been a licensed Broker for many years, but the developer she works for has finally seen the value of this national network and affiliation to a great group of professionals.
I love the Adirondack Look of this place, and it was nice to knock out one of my required classes.

Beats the hell out of our board office. Thanks for reminding me, I have all my electives but need my core.
The birch beams are incredible. Nice way to spend the day.. I enjoyed practicing RE with my wife. Conversation never gets old.
Steve, I would really like to feel sorry for you having to go through a 3 hour class, but after looking at the pictures, not so much....looks like a great area cheers my friend...
Ross, We are just at the point of Ice-out, up here, I took these two shots this morning still a bob-house but not for long.
What a nice looking place to have a class. I have been taking all my CE classes on line for years. I miss the discussions, but I enjoy the time it saves. Knocked out my last 6 hour class in just 2 hours. I have just a few more days to finish the last one I need to renew for another 4 years. Maybe I'll knock that one out in the morning.
Great place to hold your Continuing Education classes. Just being there must have lessened the load of having to sit through another required lecture!
Steve - Looks like a fabulous place to suffer through required ed. I always look forward to Mandatory Classes for the networking. It is a great time to catch up with other agents and maybe even learn something in the process.
Steve.. After years of being in this business these CE classes are a pain in the A**. However, it is good to refresh your memory (which mine seems to be fading at times) but you can cover what takes 3 hours in 20 minutes.
BTW.. Congratulate Vonnie for me on becoming a Realtor.
Steve...It is great that you really got something out of the class. As long as one needs to be there, why not learn something
We all have to go through it nice to have good company and a nice place to spend a few hours.
Amy, I am officially in the "lakes Region board" which by distance puts me close to an hour from where most of the monthly meetings are (and Continuing ed classes). But I make myself go, to see and be seen by my peers and friends in the industry. It is nice when the venue is so cool.
Wow... I had no clue you were a member of Lakes. I would have guessed North Country.
Steve - Congratulations to your wife for becoming a Realtor!
Monika, South of the notch got Lincoln...it is as far as one can drive to be in the lakes board. Kind of sucks, but there are more vacation homes buyers with big bucks in the Lakes region so I am happy to be on these agents radar (you know what I'm saying). steve
I saw that bobhouse on the news last week. It's still there? Will it eventually sink?
Ross...I think it will bob..for a while, then drift to shore or sink.
