This morning started at 5 below zero...with beautiful pink sky's

At 6:30 the mountains and sky's were looking very pink. First cup of coffee this morning -enjoying the view.

at 7:30 with the sun fully up and temps have risen to an even "ZERO" yeah it is going to be in the positive numbers today. A small victory to look forward too.
I'm not crazy - I didn't have to go outside for these shots, this is my kitchen window. Second cup of coffee.

Chilly morning but beautiful pink skies in NH! Hope you're enjoying your coffee and thanks for those magnificent views! Stay warm!
Wow, your wife sure keeps those windows clean! Lovely photos, as long as you don't have to go outside. I'll be happy to sit her in 68 degrees and look at your photos.
Beautiful photos of the sunrise this morning. We had a beautiful sunset last night here in Delaware; not quite as cold as you have there in NH though. Nice and sunny here this morning. It's going to be a great day.
This morning here in Connecticut the temperature was a balmy 8 degress. No beautiful of the White Mountains or pink sky from my window :(
Steve, you definately have an eye for a great photo. Your composition and framing contributes to making a photo that stands out.
Wow-that would be nice to wake up with that view. I do miss the mountains.
The plan is to get out in the woods with the cross country skis today, hope to share some more white Mountain moments later...thanks for dropping by.
you've got the best kitchen window... ever! (Except maybe Sally Cheeseman's)... maybe you can send your window over hear, and I can borrow it for a weekend?
GOOD MORNING STEVE! What a view! I would do the same - stay inside and drink coffee! Although how fun to be able to jump outside and do a little skiing! Sounds like you will enjoy the day! -- G
I promise not to complain about 42 degrees today! Zero...Now that's cold. Stay warm, enjoy your coffee and that amazing view. Looking forward to the pictures from your cross country ski adventure this afternoon!
Steve,
Way to go, not going out in 5 below... and still getting capturing the photo ops.
Steve
Alan, I understand you guys have some serious snow in Chicago, we received 5 feet in the last 30 days.
A beautiful site to wake up to. Peace and tranquility lives here
Amy, the weather man is suggesting it will be -20 tonight , so yes plus 42 is good.
Wow, you have an incredible view from your kitchen window. Lets see, from my kitchen window I can see the side of my neighbors house and a fence. Hmmmm
Steve~ What a beautiful view... looks like paradise, even with the zero temps.
Good morning, Steve.....the difference between zero and 9 degrees is your beautiful view.....all I have is 9 degrees.
Amazing sight, Steve! You may keep those temps. I guess, 15 degrees is a warm up for you. Have a great weekend on the slopes!
Wow, what a great picture. Wish I was the one that got to snap the picture.
Steve - That's a majestic pair of scenes you have captured there. It's difficult to say which one is my favorite. However, if I had to choose just one, I think it might be the top one.
Cynthia... I don't have any close neighbors.
Kim...This is my private paradise
Barbara... when the sun comes up Zero isn't bad...but cloudy and a strong wind...zero feel very cold.
Lizette... The skiing was great will post more photos - later.
Chris... Come for a visit, Coffee is on me!
Myrl... both photos are from the same spot and hour apart.
At 5 below zero, I would be sitting by the fire enjoying a cup... or 5 of coffee until it warmed up to at least 10 above. Burrr.
Very nice with the pinks and blues in the sky. Keep them coming

OK -Sheldon - here is one from this morning
The bottom left corner is a one acre pond...completed obscured by the snow cover, and far right behind the birch trees is one of the larger rivers in our area (the Pemigewasset river) also covered almost totally by snow and ice. The Mountain in the back ground is Mt. Liberty.
