Summer is in full swing in the white mountains of New Hampshire

This river valley is so beautiful and wide it's hard to even see the folks down by the river frolicking in the water.

Same Route 175 Woodstock New Hampshire bridge in April .... three months ago.

Scene from my Hammock spot 3 months ago to the day...8 degrees in April ...85 in July.

The water is low and calm in the summer along the stony shore of the Pemigewasset river.
This is the same location with 20 feet of ice piled up and a raging river taking trees down with the water.

These are great pics. You don't realize how big this area is until you see the little tiny people on the right of the photo.
Steve,
Those are great photos. Thanks for sharing with us.
Years ago I visited the White Mountains and I remember how gree and lush the landscapes are.
I've never been there in the Winter.
Great comparison of the seasonal changes. That river looks very enticing and a fun way to spend a hot summer day! The hammock looks pretty good too.
Steve - Your photos show exactly why I love living in New England. You've captured the essence of the beauty of the seasons perfectly. I've never been to the White Mountains but would love to someday visit there.
Steve,
You live in a great area, Always enjoyed your blogs and the scenery you capture. It is nice to be able to see the differences of the seasons.
If you get tired of the season wait a few months and you'll see something completely different in the same spot.
Steve,
We are so lucky to be surrounded by beauty, no matter what season it is. Wishing you the best.
thanks John, no matter what else is happening a walk a long the river what ever season sets me right.
So Steve, how warm does that water get they are jumping into where that bridge used to be? As always you know I think your photos are post card worthy.
What great photos of different seasons in your area. It was fascinating to see how much they change.
Gretchen
Tammy, happy that you enjoy my pix, that is reason enough to keep posting.
One of these days I'm gonna show up on your door step so I can see that covered bridge in person.
By all appearances, looks to be an absolutely surreal area. Beautiful.
And Loynd, I would be remiss if I did not point out that your new profile picture looks like you are stoned out of your mind. If that's not the case, I apologize for the assumption. If that is the case, well, can't blame you in those surroundings ... looks beautiful sober and may be even cooler with a few hits from the proverbial peace pipe.
Hope all is well, amigo.
I might be able to put up with the winter if summers are that pretty! Great pics of the White Mountians in NH!
Summer is far toooo short. The good news for you is that your beautiful home is a paradise year round!
Mr. Sardi...I assure you that is not the case, I believe I had just come in from four hours of golf on a hot day prior to the picture.
Laura. You know you will be welcomed if you plan a trip north, when it's time to get out of New Jersey - call me
That will do it too:)
Gorgeous pictures Steve...I prefer the summer ones;)
Steve, in this heat a bit of that ice and snow would be welcomed!
Bill, aren't we always looking forward to the next season? I love the fall -cool nights and warm days for hiking and other outdoor activities.
Steve, beautiful photos and the different seasons really add to their interest. I never get tired of seeing snap shots of your area, the White Mountains are gorgeous.
Steve I know that you love the snow, but I prefer it when it is green :)
What a difference a few months can make! While I don't miss the months long winters of the northeast, I do miss the snow like you guys get up there in NC... as long as I don't have to take clients out in it.
