Saturday night Sunset over the white Mountains of New Hampshire. It's taken years to open up the five acre field behind my home in Woodstock NH and install a one acre pond. The results of my efforts have given my this view.
Saturday Night Sundown - Mount Lafayette -Little Haystack and Lincoln.

Beautiful sunset last night 7:40 on an August night as summer is slipping away quickly.
One of my Cats decided I needed to be awake at 5:30 this morning, but when I saw the glow through my bedroom window I figured ...hell I'm up time for a sunrise shot or two. Also kick the cat for waking me (not really).

You can barely make out the pink reflection off the Pemigewasset river in the bottom left of the picture. The River is 600 feet from my house and makes for a nice back drop for my daily photos. Sunday 8/21/11 - 5:30 am.

Before I threw the cat out...I took this last shot at 5:35 Am. this morning.
Pink sky's in the morning sailors take warning is the old saying, the weatherman is calling for rain later today. So getting woken by a psycho- pet may have given me a glimpse of the best part of the day. Have a great Sunday all my friends, and if you ever need a hand with a real estate transaction - call the White Mountain Realtor who never sleeps.

Hi Steve, Absolutely beautiful photos! Thanks for sharing with us, enjoy your Sunday.
Steve-as always your photos of the White Mountains surrounding your home are inspiring. The cat woke you up as a reminder to take a few moments to appreciate the beauty around you.
Steve: Gorgeous photos. I don't sleep either - no psycho cat to blame. Have a great day - rain and all!
Cindy...I think you are right, he was trying to tell me ---hey you have to see this sunrise get up!!
Steve as always great shots. Hmm can the weather not make up it's mind? Since you had a "pink sky" at night and in the morning they contradict each other. "Pink sky at night sailor's delight" Mother nature is being fickle.
ANy danger to the cat being out with all that other wildlife by hour house? Lovely shots.
Larry...the Weathermen are the only folks that can make a 6 figure salary and still be wrong half the time.
Melissa...that cat rolled the dice when he woke me up, he was inside a perfectly good house before he woke the bear.
Steve, I always enjoy seeing your photos of the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Fantastic photos of the sunset. Now go feed your cat :-)
Beautiful, Steve, simply beautiful...funny I don't recall ever seeing any cat photos?
Christine... here is the culprit.
