While I put away lawn furniture and took down hammocks I snapped a few shots of a dry seasonal creek bed.
Saturday 1 O'clock.
Twenty four hours later the dry creek is filling the pond up rapidly.

over looking my small pond Saturday. About 12 feet deep in the middle.
We are about to over-flow the banks of the pond...over 20 feet deep right now and more rain on it's way.
This is the site where I took down my Hammock pre-storm...Relatively dry for August, more of a trickle.
The tree at the point where the "small inlet" breaks off the main branch of the river is about to come down, the root ball is three feet under water as of right now.
More shots Tomorrow after the storm has passed. Woodstock New Hampshire Pemigewasset River scenes.

Got a little rain did ya? Yeah we got the same thing here in Gettysburg
Steve - keep the photos/updates coming! I'm glad to hear the storm weakened considerably before it reached land!
Steve, wow that is a lot of rain to fill up the dry creek and pond. I hope you don't get flooded. --Krystal
Looks like you guys got evn more rain that we did here in the Raleigh area. Glad to see that you fared well though.
Wow! That really is a lot of rain. Great photos, though. They tell the story.
Ok - it's official the pond has connected with the river...over-flowed completely.
Hi Steve, Stay safe. How about shipping some of that water West? We could sure use some here in Buckeye, AZ. Thanks for the photos.
flooding sucks, and victims will now have the fun (NOT) of dealing with insurance claims and FEMA, glad you are safe and ummm kinda dry
OH WOW! Maybe you can ship some of that water to the desert - we could use it :)
Steve, the water rose pretty quickly on the shore and river banks around here as well. There was a lot of flooding, especially the northern part of the State.
Steve...it does look like you received a bit of rain. Rain finally held off long enough to get my work done, but now the farmers need a shot.
Wish we had gotten some of that rain... we are a big tinder box down south. Hope it doesn't get any worse there Steve.
Nice before and afters Steve. Water is the most unpredictable part of the event during these storms, stay safe.
Here is a shot at the peak of the flood.
Steve glad you are safe from the weather.... Dallas ZERO rain we just broke records today ! UGGGGG.. .
