That's right we still have some fabulous foliage in the valley's but last nights snow fall at higher elevations definitely let us know the leave are going to be short lived. In Fact a Nor-Easter is on the Map for tomorrow night with predictions of 6 - 12 inches ...and it's still October. Ready or not here comes old-man winter...for now enjoy the views we got today after last night light dusting. Taken from Woodstock NH - of Franconia Notch state park NH.

Sorry to say Saturday's snow fall of up to a foot will wipe out the last of the foliage so enjoy these final pictures and the next set will be all white. Living in a ski resort town all white mountains are all right.

I always look forward to your photos Steve. Once again I am not dissappointed.
I loved the photo's can't believe you already have snow. In Florida I'm enjoying the cool Florida weather.
This was just a dusting...more of the big stuff is coming tomorrow.
These are the types of images people see when they cross over. It's like heaven. Amazing stuff, man. Awesome.
Wow Steve! That was quite the alliteration you used there in your title! Oh, and your pics are pretty good too!
Your photos always life my heart. Even when I know you can see your breath and it's freezing outside... they still warm my soul. They are art.
Steve,
If you're going to live in a ski resort, the more snow the better.
Rich
Hi Steve, what beautiful pictures!! Thanks for sharing!
Greg...not ready to pass over quite yet, but I know what you are saying - this is god's country.
Craig...I have no posts as cool as yours - but thanks for the kind words my friend.
Tammy, I'm so happy you enjoy these photos, I truly strive to publish the best I can for my friends out there that like what I'm doing.
Rich...we are ready for the next great season, I enjoy them all and my skis are waxed and ready to strap on.
Maggie, thank you for stopping by and leaving me a comment.
Steve we got about a half an inch last night, and I hope they are wrong about tomorrow.
I remember the days making sure we had the wood split and at least 2 cords ready and waiting. Beautiful for sure but heavy weather can put a damper on that. Great shots once again Steve.
George..just saw the revised Saturday 10/29/11 weather...we are in for some serious snow in October.
Beautiful pics as always Steve! I am currently stuck in NJ after being here for the last week. I made it to the airport only for all flights to be cancelled. Crazy Nor'easter this time of the year! Oh well...I'll make the best of it and hope for clear skies tomorrow!
Great pictures Steve. No snow here in Winnipeg, Manitoba yet but I am sure it's coming.
Rebekah...good luck getting out of NJ, we will be slowing down on the roads a bit.
Wendy, I'll send some your way....I have a feeling you get plenty this winter.
