Icy trees yesterday turns to a winter wonderland today...Happy Holidays from New Hampshires White mountains

Talking about the weather may be superficial, but not when you work in the ski resort industry. Freezing rain doesn’t make for great ski conditions – it does however make for beautiful glistening trees especially when the sun hits them just right.

On this Christmas Eve – Eve, here is wishing you all some Holiday Cheer. If you are looking for a White Christmas – Drive on up to the White Mountains and be part of the winter wonderland.

On to the Holiday weather –news, I’m happy to report last nights 4-6 inch snow fall will ensure a white Christmas in the White mountains of NH.

Loon Mountain ski resort and the towns of Lincoln and Woodstock New Hampshire are ready for the Holiday rush of New England Skier's , their families and of course the spending that comes along with a Winter School vacation…in the White Mountains.

This shot was taken in my Back yard at 8:45 on Friday December 23rd 2011, in Woodstock New Hampshire. The Pemigewasset river is off in the distance and is still flowing this time of year...soon it will ice over, and be blanketed in the snow that follows this holiday storm.

Steve...

You really do live in a beautiful region. The mountains are awesome, especially in Winter.

Hi Steve, beautiful photos as always! All I've been seeing lately are accidents. Some not so bad but some really bad. People seem to be in a big rush this year.

The ice on the trees looks very pretty, but the danger ourweighs it.

Steve - Wonderful photos that are so appropriate for the season.  That third and last photo is a real stunner!

I can hear the slipping and scraping of all those edges trying to hold fast on Loon Mountain.  Yours are holding their line though Steve.  The trees must look like gold in the distance when the Sun's coming up.

It is SO BEAUTIFUL but I'm glad our country side is not ice and snow right now..   our cattle prefer the green grass. ;)

Steve the trees are beautiful with they are covered with ice like that, but that is also a sign of dangerous icy roads.

George...it was tough going after the frozen rain, but in the north country our road crews do an awesome job.

Steve, freezing rain on the trees is gorgeous, but with that back drop even more so and that last photo is just too good for words.

If only it could be 75-80 degrees when it was snowing! Then I'd come up North a lot more than I do in the Winters!
