The Winter Home of the Cafe Lafayette Dinner Train…is stuck on the tracks, to be fair the Ticket office has been converted to a Tapas and Wine bar for the winter season. If you have ever had dinner on the train or know somebody who has…I’m sure you had or heard rave reviews about the food. The winter home will not disappoint you either. Looking for an alternative to the usual Loon area restaurants?

The menu is meant to share, with chef prepared small portion plates and a great variety of choices to temp your taste buds. A nice array of wines and a stately staff will impress the seasoned travelers, and ski bums alike. If you ever get the chance to ride the rails when the train is is a 2 hour trip 6 course menu and it runs along the Pemigewasset River. I like it in the fall foliage best...but all the different age dinning cars are worth trying through out the Spring, summer and Fall.
