We have tons of covered bridges here in Oregon as well. They're really cool! And I love the idea for using mannequins at the farm stand! How inventive is that??
Great Photos! Wow - over 100 years and looking pretty good. I love everything from the 1800's to the mid 1900's. Makes me think about who built this - all my hand - blood, sweat and tears for many people back then. Thanks for sharing!
Steve...I love the covered bridges. I know of only one in Minnesota and its right by a lake I fihs at
Cecily..Diana..& Bill..this being New England and in the Snow covered north country..there are tons of covered bridges (the are 6 with in 10 miles of my home).. Same Bridge (The Blair Bridge) in a winter photo.
Hi Steve - Very cool bridge and sign too.Brings you back to the days of yesteryear.
Bill.. Ever get up north?.. I know you are only two hours south of Loon & Waterville Ski Areas, Drop me a note if you're in the neighborhood. Steve
Hi Steve-I love that covered bridge. It takes you back to a simpler time. Great photos.
Pat.. This one is one of the longer bridges Too.
Thanks All. Sticking with the Bridge theme, I have a train track on my property, and own 2,000 feet along the river this is a trestle crossing where the Dinner Train passes on to my land (summer only).
How many fines do they collect every year. $5.00 can add up quickly.
Terry, I'm afraid no one monitors it anymore.. But I'm not doing much right now could be a source of income..
Hi Steve,
Great pictures! I love covered bridges; they are beautiful and have so much history to them. I love the train trestle picture too from your property--that must be pretty cool to see. And I'm thinking you should be the monitor of the $5 fines--you could probably make a lot of cash that way, LOL!
Have a great day,
Anne Rains
Anne.. thanks these are taken with a cheap camera..out of a car window, when I grow up I want to get a nice camera..Steve
Steve, awesome! Problem for me would be talking to the mannequins after hanging out in the bar at the lodge! What's the dinner train?
Laura..Thanks for the visit. I have a dinner train that come through my yard in the summer..It's pretty cool kind of like having a parade every night
