We all have our crosses to bare, these guys don't seam to mind pulling their own weight and anyone else that is strapped in. The dog sled owners told me these guys are used to sleeping out side and I guess that is part of the training. I wasn't sure if that meant the dogs would be unfriendly due to the extreme conditions they are asked to run in.
They may be outdoor animals but they certainly act like pets, no a vicous bone in their body. But baby they were born to run, these guys get excited when they know it's time to pull. I believe they truely enjoy the task at hand.
This group of canines not only aim to please but also love their masters. This day was minus ten and the dogs were rolling in the snow like it was a beach day.
These guys were raring to join their parents, and didn't seam to notice the cold either. I walked by several times and this group was sleeping on the cold ground oblivious to the snow.
Sleep tight your turn will come next winter. Try Dog sledding for a fun family activity..available at the Mount Washington resort and by reservations at your own special event.

Steve, what a great experience! Thanks so much for sharing the great photos :-)
When they pick a team it's like a competition among the dogs. The jumping and barking is like "TAKE ME! TAKE ME!"
Lara.. happy to share..this was a lot of fun hope you get a chance to try this sometime.
Bill..you know it, they guys are pulling at the straps to run, and seam unhappy when put aside for a rest.
Steve I trained and raced sled dogs while in High School one of my fondest memories. I would love to relive my youth.
Hi Steve. Can you wrap up one of those puppies and ship it to Oregon for me?? They are adorable!
Terry..no kidding..really that must have been a great adventure..I'm jealous.
Cecily, not sure they would survive the bubble wrap, go to the pound and rescue a cute one.
Hi Steve...Dog sledding looks like so much fun and those dogs are too cute! I loved all the photos.
Have a great day,
Anne
Anne.. Thanks you should try the dog sledding, maybe while your out west..where there's snow there are dog sleds.
I've always thought dog-sledding would be an amazing experience.........Bucket List material? :-)
Liz..it really is cool to experience..dog power.
Steve,
Loved your photos! Gosh, those puppies are so cute!! Husky's & Malamutes are favorites of mine! Our Malamute "Sheba" was a big, beautiful & intelligent dog. She died of cancer about a year ago. She was only only 10 1/2 yrs. old. What amazing dogs they are.
Thank you for sharing your photos! I enjoyed your post.
Rita
Rita, sorry about your loss, these guys are so eager to pull and please their master it's a joy to watch them run.
Thanks for sharing your day with the dogs. The sledding looks like great fun for people and dogs. Those puppies were just too cute!
